Ranjith Kally(born. 1925, d. 2017) was a South African photographer. His work was featured in exhibitions at the South African National Gallery, Iziko Museums and the Pretoria Art Museum. Kally has been featured in articles for the Mail & Guardian and the "South African Art Times". The most recent article is Casting history to his own Drum beat written by Candice Jansen for the Mail & Guardian in October 2017. Kally was best known for capturing moments of some of South Africa’s greatest liberation struggle icons and celebrities such as Chief Albert Luthuli, Miriam Makeba, Monty Naicker, Thandi Klaasen and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
